Welcome to PianoQuest. By accessing or using this website and its services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

PianoQuest is operated by Daniel Forino, based in the United Kingdom. For any questions, contact forinodan@gmail.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
You must provide accurate information when signing up.
You may not share your account with others.
You may cancel your account at any time via the account settings.

4. Subscriptions & payments

PianoQuest Pro is a paid subscription (monthly or annual billing).
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms as well.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds: we generally do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, but please contact us if you believe you are entitled to a refund.
UK consumers have a 14-day right to cancel online purchases under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This right is waived once you begin consuming the digital content.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Copy, redistribute, or resell any of our content.
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or create derivative works from the Service.
Use the Service to infringe anyone's intellectual-property rights.
Interfere with, disrupt, or probe our servers or networks.
Upload anything unlawful, harmful, or that infringes third-party rights.

6. Content ownership

All classical and public-domain works on PianoQuest are in the public domain. Chord symbols and arrangements are our original compilations and are provided for personal educational use only. The PianoQuest name, logo, and interface are our property.

You retain ownership of any recordings you create using the Service.

7. Third-party copyright

We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe content on our site infringes your copyright, please see our DMCA / Copyright policy.

8. Availability & changes

We aim to keep the Service available and improving, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes.

9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the new Terms.
